Price & vendor transparency for research peptides

The Peptide Index exists to bring transparency to a market built on anonymity — surfacing real prices and public-record vendor signals so buyers can decide with facts.

Three parts, one independent dataset

• Peptide Price History is this site: the public transparency and price-history site. Anyone can compare current $/mg prices, see a 90-day price history and check a vendor’s public-record trust signals, free.
• The Peptide Index is the underlying independent dataset: what research-peptide vendors publicly list on their own storefronts, normalized to a comparable USD per mg, kept nightly, alongside public-record facts about the businesses behind them.
• PeptideIQ is the professional product for storefront operators: market position, competitor and regulatory intelligence and full price history, built on that same dataset. For vendors explains what it does and what it cannot change.

Methodology

The complete rule set is on how $/mg works; the summary follows.

Every night, The Peptide Index reads the public catalog pages of the vendor storefronts in the vendor database. For each listing it records the advertised price, package size, and stated peptide content, then:

• Normalizes to $/mg — the vendor’s price divided by the stated total peptide mass, so a 5 mg vial and a 10 mg vial compare on equal terms.
• Converts to USD — non-USD listings are converted at current exchange rates before comparison.
• Excludes shipping — every figure on this site is the listed product price only, ex-shipping.
• Uses public pages only — no vendor accounts, no checkout probing; if a price isn’t publicly listed, it isn’t in the index.
• Never sums separate products — multi-vial “stacks” are shown side by side, each at its own price; premixed single-vial blends are priced per mg of total peptide and clearly labeled, because a blend’s $/mg is not comparable to a single compound’s.

A vendor’s listing status, trust tier, calculated $/mg, price-sorted placement and rankings are computed the same way for every vendor and are never for sale — not to a PeptideIQ subscriber, not to a partner. Brand names for blends are listed only as searchable aliases — composition comes first.

Why history matters

A current-price comparison tells you who is cheapest today. Only history tells you whether today’s price is normal, a spike, or a genuine drop — and whether a “sale” is real. Because The Peptide Index snapshots every vendor every night, each compound page carries a 90-day price-over-time chart (median and lowest $/mg) alongside the current listings, and 30-day trend figures are computed from actual observed baselines, not vendor claims. Data freshness

The index is refreshed nightly; the footer of every page shows the date of the last completed sync. A vendor’s listing appears as “current” only while it is live on their storefront on the most recent crawl. First loads after a quiet period can take a few extra seconds while the database wakes.

How this site is funded

Prices and trust signals are compiled the same way for every vendor, and no vendor can pay to change a listing, a price, an order or a trust tier. Money enters in two ways. Some vendors pay a flat fee for tools or visibility (PeptideIQ, a paid Partner profile, or a clearly labelled “Sponsored” slot in the vendor directory), and none of those pay us a commission on orders. Other vendors join a free referral program: they issue a discount code and pay The Peptide Index a commission on orders that use it. Where a vendor has a live code, it is shown beside that vendor’s listing with the words “We may earn a commission when you order with this code,” and links to that vendor are marked as sponsored for search engines. Codes never change a price, a ranking or a tier.

We sell no peptides, recommend nothing, and publish no medical content — no dosing, no protocols, no claims of safety or efficacy for human use. The compounds tracked here are research materials, and inclusion of a vendor or compound is a statement about price data, never an endorsement.
