How letters are matched

  • Source. The FDA’s own public warning-letter list. Every night it is read and each new drug-related letter is opened once to see which websites it names.
  • Exact website only. A letter is linked to a store only when it names that store’s exact domain. A similar company name is never enough, and nothing is matched by guesswork.
  • A record, not a verdict. A warning letter is the FDA’s notice to a firm. This page reports that it exists and when; it does not say what a store sells now, whether the issue was resolved, or whether any product is safe. Letters can be closed out or withdrawn; check the FDA page for current status.
  • Not a complete list of sellers. Letters to firms that are not among the stores we track are not shown here; the FDA list is the complete record. This page is not legal advice.

The same record appears on each store’s profile, where it affects the store’s trust tier under the published method: see how we verify and the vendor directory. A store that believes a match is wrong can submit a correction.
